Bialik College

The Dream

The Dream

Hawthorn-based Jewish day school Bialik College has a long history of innovation and imagination.

And it was in this spirit of continuous improvement that plans for the ‘Launch Lab’ emerged. A place that “fosters bravery, fuels curiosity, and inspires students to question, experiment and explore – where students can launch themselves fearlessly into something new.”

But launch pads don’t come cheap. Bialik College still needed to fund construction – which will start this year, and finish in 2023 – in a sustainable way. They needed to raise money in a manner that would give their patrons agency, while mirroring the school’s own ethos of innovation and growth.

The Plan

What better symbol of science and progress is there than the Periodic Table?

Working with its team, we crafted Bialik College’s interactive periodic table platform, complete with a simple element selection tool and more information about the Launch Lab project.

Visualised in a unique spiral design – exactly how the periodic table will look as a 3D art installation on the wall of the Launch Lab – Bialik’s patrons can choose an element to sponsor.

Lawrencium? Livermorium? Lanthanum? Donors can claim whichever of the 118 elements that resonates with them, then engrave it with a name – whether theirs, their business’s, or that of a loved one.

After previewing their element’s inscription, patrons can check out securely. And pay in either a single allotment, or over a three-year period.

The campaign may be a new one, but Bialik’s patrons are coming to the table. Buying it up – more than half of the elements have already been claimed.

Watch this space – Bialik’s Buy-a-Seat campaign certainly won’t be Boron!
